What I Learned About RVs
We learned a lot about RVs. At this point, I may know more about them than most people who sell them and most owners too. While there are innumerable web-sites that are supposedly dedicated to helping you make an educated choice, I feel that they all fail to do so. They almost all say, "The choice... is entirely up to you."

A little about what everyone has to say and more about what I have to say.

The most basic of RV lessons is that there are several classes.
  • Towable Pop-Up Also referred to as a "Folding Camping Trailer." This is a light, compact, low-profile trailer that you expand during set-up.
    • The Good News
      • They’re Lightweight
        • You can tow one of these behind nearly any size or type of vehicle.
        • Novices shouldn’t have difficulty adjusting their driving habits with this in tow.
      • They’re Small
        • They're the easiest RV to store.Depending on your living situation, you can store it in your garage or backyard and don’t have to worry about it becoming an eyesore to your neighbors or HOA.
        • You may be able to avoid potentially costly storage fees.
      • They’re Getting “Cooler”
        • Some have platforms so you can tie down your “quad” or other toys and bring them along.
        • New features like higher ceilings and more sleeping space, even shower enclosures make them a more desirable alternative option than in the recent past.
        • Air conditioning is definately a "cooler" feature on some of the new upper-end models.
    • The Bad News
      • You're Camping Pal (which may be just what you're looking to do anyway!).
      • You get some “creature comforts” like a small refrigerator, stove top, limited storage. This is great for the occasional weekend camper (or maybe for a week). If you’re looking for extended trips an/or full-timing, this isn’t the choice for you.
      • Set-up and take-down requires some real physical effort and time which could be challenging to some people.
      • Set-up, take-down & camping can be seriously hampered by inclement weather.
